What can I do with what I have learnt?

When you complete this course you will have, and be familiar with:

  1. a referenced glossary of ICAO and associated terminology;
  2. a detailed compliance checklist in Microsoft Excel
  3. a detailed aerodrome manual contents list drawing on best practices from both ICAO and EASA
  4. Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for compiling runway condition codes in compliance with the global reporting format

You can use your knowledge and experience of the course (the fundamentals of competence) to:

  1. audit an aerodrome;
  2. report on the compliance status of an aerodrome (most aerodrome operators do not actually know their aerodrome's compliance level, because no one has ever checked everything);
  3. monitor standards, both physical and operating, of an aerodrome;
  4. relate the aerodrome reference code, operating requirement and performance based aerodrome minima to the existing or planned aerodrome standards, and:
  5. use that comparison to efficiently plan developments with measured value.
