What can I do with what I have learnt?
When you complete this course you will have, and be familiar with:
- a referenced glossary of ICAO and associated terminology;
- a detailed compliance checklist in Microsoft Excel
- a detailed aerodrome manual contents list drawing on best practices from both ICAO and EASA
- Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for compiling runway condition codes in compliance with the global reporting format
You can use your knowledge and experience of the course (the fundamentals of competence) to:
- audit an aerodrome;
- report on the compliance status of an aerodrome (most aerodrome operators do not actually know their aerodrome's compliance level, because no one has ever checked everything);
- monitor standards, both physical and operating, of an aerodrome;
- relate the aerodrome reference code, operating requirement and performance based aerodrome minima to the existing or planned aerodrome standards, and:
- use that comparison to efficiently plan developments with measured value.
